LES 9 ÉCLUSES FONSERANES
A flight of staircase locks on the Canal du Midi near Beziers. Consists of 8 oval lock chambers, characteristic of Canal du Midi, and 9 gates, which allows boats to be raised a height of 21.5 metres over a distance of 300 metres.

MINERVE
This is one of the most beautiful villages in France surrounded by deep gorges carved by the confluence of the Brian & Cesse placed at the end of a limestone plateau. The natural bridges of the valley make it a exceptional geological site.
ASSIGNAN- The colourful chateau Castigno & the sleepy village.
Situated in the heart of the Languedoc region. The chateau and the village itself-the building, gates, shutters, doors are painted either purple, pink or red. The current owners of the chateau a Belgian couple own properties in the village and have renovated them as well as the chateau. Their project is centred around the main part of the village. There are two restaurants in the central square. This area is exuberant with red plump cushion, heaters for the cooler evenings and soft red and purple shawls laid on. There is a range of Chateau Castigno wines and ales in these restaurants.
LAGRASSE
Lagrasse is part of the Les Plus Beaux Villages de France (The most beautiful villages of France) association. It lies in the valley of the River Orbieu, at the foot of the Pyrenees. Highlights of the village are the Abbey, the bridges and the medieval village streets.
The village is home to artists and pottery workers. The village hosts cultural festivals and intellectual festivals during the year.
CARCASSONNE
Medieval city famous for its chateau & ramparts. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of the exceptional preservation and restoration of the medieval citadel.
